Whole Foods is the ish. FO REAL...FO SHO!
I do my grocery shopping on Thursdays. Hit the Amish Market for my meats and produce and Whole Foods for everything else.
Robby is on his way home and he requested spaghetti for dinner. Cool, quick and easy. I already had ground turkey and just needed to get organic pasta and my favorite organic pasta sauce by Seeds for Change. BUT...my sauce wasn't there! I'm like...whadahelz?
I panic.
See...when I like something...I LIKE IT!
So I spot an employee and with a panicky look on my face and a cracking voice I go...WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO WITH THE SEEDS OF CHANGE PASTA SAUCES? (I say this in one long fast breath.)
Him: We are discontinuing them.
Me: HUH? WHAT? WHY?
Him: I don't know.
Me: Aw lawd! Ring the alarm! What us gon do Ceily????
Him: What kind did you like?
Me: The kind with the porcini mushrooms.
Him: Well try this one. (Holding up another organic brand with porcini mushrooms.)
Me: It's not going to taste the same. I like the Seeds of Change sauce cuz it...
Him: (whipping out marker and scratching out UPC code) I want you to try this one for free. We don't have your sauce and we're sorry.
Me: Oh. Free? Free tastes better than anything huh?
Him: (Laughing) You have a good day ma'am.
Me: I do believe I shall. Thank you. (The sky opens up and angels with harps start playing soothing yet gleeful music...and NO...NONE OF THEM WERE LIL KIM!)
And I skip my azz to the register and hand the chick my bags to put my groceries in along with my FREE pasta sauce.
See...that's why Whole Foods is the ish. They understand and they work with you to make sure you're satisfied. Sure they go overboard sometimes with live music and ish while you picking out whole grain rolls or a damn cocktail party complete with champagne in the prepared foods section but helz...it's all right with me. LOL!
Did I like the pasta sauce? No. I mean...it's aiight...but I don't really do aiight when it comes to food. The Seeds of Change one was the BOMB! BUT...I still feel good about Whole Foods.
Me likey free stuff and me likey life. That was EXCELLENT customer service. Just EXCELLENT! Sure I gotta find my sauce some other way...but hey...such is life.
When is the last time YOU got excellent customer service and noticed it right off the bat?
