If Palin really did fake a pregnancy to cover up her 16 year old daughter's pregnancy...is that REALLY a big deal? She is a HUGE pro-life advocate and does NOT support abortion so it would be hypocritical had she allowed her daughter to get one right? She ALSO opposes sans ropas education in classrooms except for ABSTINENCE ONLY which would put a damper on her image if folks found out that her daughter got preggo at age of 16...RIGHT?
I mean...is she WRONG for wanting to protect her daughter? OR...is this just another case of folks who are sooooooooo RIGHT and soooooooooo into shoving THEIR view of family values down our throats to the point they will lie, lie, lie, cover up and lie some more by even VOTING against issues in order to cover up a trail to them (cough...Larry Craig...cough...)...AND...making it seem as if they are so fuggin wholesome and perfect that they are going to TEACH US HOW TO BE/DO THE SAME EVEN KNOWING IT'S BASED ON A LIE????????!!!!!!!!! (SIP: Um..that's one HELL of a run-on ya know. ROFL!)
So...again...if this is really true (which we won't know until medical records prove it or someone pays the Bristol's supposed baby daddy off) what does it mean as far as Palin is concerned? Is she a REALLY good mother? Or a liar?
I'm on the fence as to how I'll feel it it's true so I'm curious as to what you guys think.
If the storm of the century is coming...and yo azz ain't leaving...don't expect nobody to come get your azz once the ish goes down. I mean really. How selfish is that? You could have left with the rest of the city on buses and whatnot provided and yet you want to risk putting emergency personnel in harm's way trying to rescue your ignant azz once the bottom falls out?
What do YOU think about the people who are deciding to stay behind. Should they expect rescuing?????
You're visiting a friend in another state and city that is considered to be a populare tourist attraction. During your trip, your friends takes you to see the sites, however, you don't necessarily go to all the sites YOU want to visit. Would you say something or not? If not, why not?
I had this discussion with three men at Mr. Lee's office regarding Wesley Snipes. They weren't convinced. My question to you...do you guys think Wesley's career took a nosedive when he made the statements about Black women thereby alienating his fan base?
The top hat is new. Never worn. The bottom hat...I've worn twice. What say you? What would you wear with them? WOULD you wear them? Do you wear hats? If not...why not?
Aiight...I'm done. I played dress up for HOURS today and couldn't do it anymore. There's LOTS more of course. I'll try again in a month or so.
This suit has been hanging in my closet now for a couple of years unused. I actually thought about sending it to Dr. Punkin but she's too short for the length of the skirt. The skirt is a pencil skirt but I had to buy it bigger than usual to accommodate my ba-yonk-a so it's not high on the waist as usual in a pencil skirt and instead...just sits on my hips. (Jacket is a 4...skirt is an 8...go figure...humph!) Because of this...I'd need to wear a camisole about an inch or so longer than the jacket so no skin is shown in the back. Problem is...I can't decide what COLOR to wear with it.
Sissy and I were at my new fave designer's shop and saw that belt. I had absolutely no vision for it but it was soooooooo well made and a STEAL of a deal...I needed it in my life. I looked at it today as I was getting out the other belts and thought...hmmmm...lemme see. Whatchall think? Can I put a wide belt on TOP of a suit jacket like THIS????? If so...what color should I focus on? Could I pull it off with the green belt? If so? What color shoes? Where all my AKA friends? I KNOW yall know what shoes to rock with pink and green. LOL!
I've had this dress fixed TWICE and I'm still not happy with it. The problem? Even though I've had it fixed twice it seems there is a bulging-ish kinda droop around the belly area that I'm not trying to have. The tailor who fixed it for me CAN'T SEE WHAT I SEE DANGIT! *sigh* That said...I've put it on with a wide platinum colored belt. Do you think I can wear it like this? What say you? Would YOU wear it like this? Or without the belt?
Man I wish yall could see this dress a bit better. I love, love, LOVE it! It's from one of those designers you THINK you know how to pronounce but are never really sure. ROFL! It caught my eye at how fun it was and when I tried it on...the color against my skin was just LOVELY! Problem is...I don't know what kind shoe to wear with it. It's below the knee and has a wonderful underskirt that coordinates with the middle. Erica B. would HATE it because it ties in the back. The fabric is UBER rich and flows so beautifully. My FAVORITE detail??? The pockets. Suggest a shoe for me please. I'm sure I'll have something similar already.
I didn't pay a lot of money for this so if yall say I can't pull it off...I won't feel bad about it. I'm thinking of wearing it with a casual shrug and flip flops or pointy flats, messy hair, big sunglasses and a FAB bag. What say you? Can I pull it off?
This blouse needs pressing which I was NOT about to do to play dress up with it. I bought it because of the flow. It flows really well and the beading is very different in shades of platinum and copper. The problem? The pants I have on with it are dark brown. The color of the shirt is a dove gray. I think black pants would be lost with this shirt and I'm wondering if the flow of the dark brown pants is too much. Should I go for a pant that isn't as wide legged?
So I tried on stuff most of the day and played around with a few different looks. I haven't had time to do this in a while and it's something I enjoy doing. I look at it as fashion research. If I play around with a few different looks then when I have somewhere to go...I already know if I have something in my closet suitable. ALSO...if I don't have exactly what I need...I get an idea of what I need to purchase so I can keep an eye out for it later.
Today I had a whole lot of hits...and quite a few that I just can't seem to wrap my brain completely around and I'd like to ask yall what would YOU do. Please excuse the pics in advance because I've finally figured out that if you shake while taking a pic with my lil cute azz camera...it takes blurry pics. I shoulda got a thick azz ugly one and prolly wouldn't have had any problemas. Humph.
First things first. When I play dress up...I don't focus on the fancy undergarments so no need to critique that. Trust me when I say I have what I need...I was just playing dress up. Second...ain't no kinda hair been done up round here today...so save it. Yes...I look a mess...
Now that I've saved you from mentioning the obvious...holla atcha girl regarding any solutions you may have. Mmmmkay? Remember that I'm sensitive about my shit and I'm on Lupron so be nice to be or be damned.
When I first saw this blouse it looked like blah on the hanger. Because of where I was however, I knew not to dismiss it easily before trying it on. The designer in question is big on form so I was prepared for me to love it. When I tried it on it made me smile as it's definitely something way, way different and me LIKEY different! The problem is that I'm wondering what other color by way of pants I should try. White is cool...sometimes...but I hate wearing white because I'm a plop it down kinda gal and I hate being dirty or WORRYING about being dirty.
What say you? What color pants would you try with this blouse? Do you like the blouse? Would you have purchased it? Remember...we're not talking prices here. If you saw it AND IT WAS IN YOUR BUDGET...would you have purchased it? Why or why not?
I think I'm gonna play dress up today. I doubt if I leave my home as I'm doing absolutely NOTHING this IVF cycle except eat, sleep, workout and RELAX!
So...yeah...I think I might play dress up. I gotta lotta stuff in my closet I haven't worn yet because I hadn't completed the "vision" in my head. Imma mix up a few things and yall tell me how YALL would rock it. Cool?
Just left the blog of this chick who thinks folks have a problem with her being a Clinton supporter because she's Black and that, for some doofus azz reason, it's thought that all Black people should vote for Obama.
I left the following comment:
No one of any rational level of intelligence cares if a Black person supported Hillary Clinton. No one cared if you supported ANY of the candidates PRIOR TO THE SELECTION BEING MADE.
She didn't win the nomination of the Democrats.
Now it's time to support the Democratic party since it's obvious you weren't before...it's obvious you were only supporting HILLARY.
If anything, behavior like this sets women back big time. Folks are always talking about women can't do this or that because they get too emotional and can't make the decision to do what needs to be done because they are all verklempt and whatnot. Duh. This kinda crap makes that stick and makes it hard for the next woman WHO JUST MIGHT BE YOUR DAUGHTER.
As far as those idjits talking about they are Clinton supporters who will now vote for McCain...Jesus be a FENCE! I mean really! Your azz wasn't EVER a Democrat. It's one thing to be mad and stomp off like someone stole your damn bike...but a complete other to not come to your senses when the time comes to deal with REALITY.
THIS strong woman would not vote for McCain and Palin even if offered ten million dollars. Unlike a lot of women hemming and hawing I actually READ and recognize that a vote for McCain would be an INSULT to Hillary's platform. Candidates are representatives of their party and their platforms are based on traditional party values. McCain does NOT value women's rights and would set us back 200 years.
I want our troops home safe as soon as it is strategically feasible and I want to TRUST my government again and not think of them as a pack of jackals and liars. I am pro-choice and don't believe the government has a business discussing my uterus. I believe homosexuals deserve more rights than our current administration believes they should have. I want stem cell research to continue being developed to help save lives and cure diseases of people already right here on earth suffering daily. I want racial stereotypes to diminish and I want to know someone is making alternative energy a priority so we don't end up in a Mad Max society. I want someone who is going to focus on the security of our country without making it seem as if we have to be afraid of every-dang-body and using fear to keep me in my place.
A vote for McCain and his pretty little sweet faced sidekick, whose story we're becoming more familiar with by the minute and is turning out to smell like a carrion, is a vote for the current administration. NO.MORE.YEARS!
Cutting off your nose to spite your face is a dumb move and I'm certain not many would, unless, of course, they are dumb. And then? So be it...I suppose that's your right as well.
All this nonsense should be over in the Democratic party. Obama won. Clinton didn't. Go find your bike and ride it.
All these McCain threats aren't scaring anybody cuz I know PLENTY of Republicans voting Democrat for the first time in their life. The difference? Theyy aren't walking around screaming like a buncha fuggin banshees without an ounce of dignity nor do they look crazed and wild eyed. Vote for who you wanna vote for man...just do it for the right reasons...because the candidate in question has a plan to do what's right regarding the issues that are important to YOU. That's all anyone can ask of you.
I asked this question last night on "Word on the Curb" and am curious as to what you guys write in your comments.
In this day and age where it seems all the latest and greatest clothing and gadgets for kids costs more and more money...how is it do you keep your kids in style while making sure it doesn't break you and yet...keeps them out of reach of the cruel kids who tease kids for not having this or that?
Yall know what? The Republicans are about to teach folks a lesson. A lot of FAR more qualified people were passed over so they can get a young fresh faced woman in there. A lot of people are PISSED! I KNOW IT! But I bet your azzes you won't hear a damn PEEP publically about it. They know how to put up a united front and it's how they look like they have their shit more together every time by keeping their mouths shut and towing the line.
Am I saying that Hillary supporters should have kept their mouths shut and towed the line? In the beginning? OF COURSE NOT! But once it was decided Obama had won...them damn Hillary signs shoulda been put the fug down and Obama's should have been up.
Yup...Republicans bout to show folks how to chew with their mouths CLOSED.
Please tell me how someone who is/was a STAUNCH Hillary supporter could be a McCain/Palin supporter now? I really need someone to explain that to me. I thought the big draw for Hillary supporters was because of her women's rights platform??????????? PLEASE POINT OUT THE BIG WOMEN'S RIGHTS DRAWS FOR ME ON MCCAIN'S PLATFORM!
THESE PEOPLE WILL SET BACK WOMEN'S RIGHTS FOR YEARS!
PLEASE! MAYBE I'M JUST FUGGIN DUMB. Or maybe Obama is just B.L.A.C.K.
She supported a democratic advisory vote from the public on whether there should be a constitutional amendment on the matter. Alaska was one of the first U.S. states to pass a constitutional ban on gay marriage, in 1998, along with Hawaii.
Palin's first veto
was used to block legislation that would have barred the state from
granting benefits to gay state employees and their partners. In effect,
her veto granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples. The veto
occurred after Palin consulted with Alaska's attorney general on the constitutionality of the legislation.
