Then my loving husband overheard me talking about my plans and now he wants to help.
I don't know if you guys remember...but Robby and I don't work well together doing manual labor type of stuff. I remember when we were getting this house ready and he was out of town the week before we moved in. A girlfriend and I painted the entire main and basement levels.
Dude flew in and went changed and came over to the house, sat in the middle of the floor with a gotdamn BOOK on home improvements and told us we were PAINTING wrong.
We were damn near finished. His azz almost got painted gold. Seriously.
And then...there was the weekend we decided to build our own patio in our back yard. I'm SURE some of you are STILL laughing at that nonsense:
So you see my hesitancy in even STARTING this now. I was just gonna build a simple box, fill it with dirt and plant some stuff in it. Now...this dude has a spreadsheet and flowchart with footnotes and ish.
This isn't going to go well. I already know it. We aren't the type of couple that can do sweat-dirt-under-nails work together. There is gonna be MAJOR cussing and fussing and with power tools and saws and ish around...I can't guarantee someone won't get hurt.
Sheesh. I shoulda just bought the damn things hell.
Can YOU do manual labor stuff with YOUR S/O? What's the last thing yall did together?
