Your washer just ripped one of your favorite articles of clothing.
You want to pick the washer up and push it to the nearest window and throw it out of your flipping home.
However...you can't do that. (Mainly because you don't know how to turn the water off and the thought of the damage the water would cost is calming to your irrational irate senses.)
What do you do?
If you choose to buy a new washer and dryer...would you buy what you WANT or would you buy what you'd feel comfortable leaving in your current home knowing you are in the beginning stages of house shopping?
We've just been notified that our short film, "Commitment" is in official competition at the New York City International Film Festival! We are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!! WHOOOOHOOOO!
I was watching Selena Gomez this morning and heard the song above.
You know how sometimes music triggers a memory in you ? Well...this song triggered a memory for me and it made me laugh.
I remember getting something wrong and I was trying to make myself feel better about it because I've always been extremely hard on myself. My father came home and questioned why I got the something wrong in that directly confrontational way he had.
Me: Well...I mean...I'm not perfect.
Dad: (straight up YELLING!) WHO SAYS YOU'RE NOT PERFECT! YOU'RE PERFECT DAMMIT! DON'T LET ME HEAR YOU SAY YOU'RE NOT PERFECT AGAIN! YOU'RE PERFECTLY YOU! NOW GO GET ME SOME DAMN WATER!
I went to get him some water.
My mother was in the kitchen and heard him yelling.
Mom: Why is your father yelling?
Me: Cuz apparently I'm perfect.
I love my life.
Do songs trigger memories in you as well? Mostly sad, happy or funny as hell?
For breakfast I'm pretty simple. Gimme some protein, whole grains and fruit...and I'm pretty good. Sometimes I have time to cook steel cook oats...a lot of time I don't.
I found these recently and they make me smile. One of the things I REALLY loved about them is that you can use the packet your serving comes in to measure the amount of water or milk you want in them. SMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This would make it really simple to take this to work with you if you'd like to eat something quickly on the fly. Doesn't that make PURE.D.SENSE?
I nuke mine for a minute and then throw a handful of blueberries in for the last minute of cooking. Be careful if you do this cuz it makes the blueberries hot but when they burst open and melt into your oatmeal...whew boy! DEEEELICOUS!
Recently a friend told me they only eat twice a day.
They are puzzled as to why they doesn't lose weight.
It's because the body is smart and knows what it needs to have in order to have enough energy so you can move. When it realizes that it doesn't get refueled up adequately...it starts storing all of the fat to use and STOPS burning it.
It doesn't make sense to starve yourself. Eat small meals throughout the day that are beneficial to your body. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits and when you have meat...make sure it's unprocessed and lean.
Pay attention and...BE.MORE.VAIN!
I'm no where near a nutritionist mind you but this is how I understand it to be.
It's been a long time since I've asked so yeah...what did you eat for breakfast this morning? I know yall already know how you SHOULD fuel up your body in the morning...but are you following through what what you know to be true?
I'm always working but it's not like work ya know? Sure...I've worked before and there is nothing wrong with doing something to make sure you contribute money to your household and pay your bills of course...but the kinda work I'm talking about is the work that flows naturally from me. I breathe it. I live it. I dream it. I walk it. I talk it. I work. I work. I work.
From the beginning to the end I'll work and the sense of satisfaction from something being born on paper and taken to the screen is one such there is a sense of satisfaction from the product...from the end result that all other frustrations seem to melt away as your recognize that the product...the film...is alive and fucking WONDERFUL.
It took me a long time to let my doubts go and free myself up enough to be able to live in this space I'm in.
You've been dating a man for a year long distance.
Yall decide someone needs to move in order to see where the relationship is heading.
Your career is much more fluid than his so yall decide you should move.
It's the week before you are putting your things on a truck to drive to your new home and you're visiting relatives and saying your goodbyes.
When you get to your Grandmother's house your favorite Aunt is there.
She is less than enthusiastic about your move.
You're surprised because she's the "cool" Aunt.
She tells you that she has no respect for a man who would let his woman pack up her life onto a UHaul and drive across country alone and that this is going to be a sign that you will remember for years to come. She says he should have flown here, helped you pack and helped you make that drive across country and the fact he didn't tells her all she needs to know about him.
"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
