A friend has made a decision that seems pretty reckless and out of character to those who know, admire and respect them.
Folks are talking about the friend behind their back but the friend doesn't know this because messy mofos are skinning and grinning up in the friend's face waiting to see them made a fool of.
You decide to be a real friend and speak to the friend privately regarding...basically wanting to make sure they've thought it through and that this decision wasn't some desperate act born out of a need to put on a "show" because of society.
The friend thanks you and continues on with their plans but cuts you off dismissing your concern by deciding you were simply hating on them and don't want them to be happy.
The friend actually said some pretty nasty things about you and your supposed "motives."
Everything you were worried about, AND MORE, ends up happening to the now ex-friend. It hurts your heart because seriously? They're a good person and just wanted to have the fairytale. Even though you were cut off you still prayed that things were working out per their expectations.
Another friend suggests you contact the ex-friend and re-open the door THE EX-FRIEND closed.
Would you?
