It looks like we will see snow on Sunday but as usual some questions remain, mainly on the amount of moisture thrown in our direction . At this point it doesn't look like a major storm. Models still advertise that a storm will form over the Gulf coast states Saturday and move NE to be off the coast of North Carolina Sunday evening and then out to sea. Precip will start Sunday morning after sunrise and end Sunday evening. Southern parts of the area will have more precip than the northern parts. Areas north of the MD/PA border should receive little or no precip. Current forecast temperature profiles indicate a mostly snow scenario for the area. Temperatures are expected to hover in the low 30s on Sunday. At this point I'll say 2-4" of snow for this storm. As usual, a storm track shift or an intensity change would easily alter this forecast.
Have a good one.
