I got an email from an old friend the other day thanking me for sharing my experience with Zinc soap:
Beauty Tips from the Elders
She said that her skin has never been as clear as it is now. She then asked me when she should stop using it. I told her that I hadn't stopped using it yet and, as long as I didn't have any additional issues...I wasn't changing up.
But then I thunk on it and I called my Elder and asked her.
The conversation went like this:
Me: Hey!
Elder: Hello. How are you. I suppose your New Year is going well seeing as though this is the first time I'm hearing your voice.
Me: _____ didn't tell you I called?
Elder: Um hmmm...she told me.
Me: Well, why didn't you call me back?
Elder: Why didn't you call me back?
Me: Um...sorry...my bad.
Elder: Um...hmmmmm...
Me: I wanted to ask you about that Zinc soap you told me to use?
Elder: Huh?
Me: You know...the ZANK soap. For my face.
Elder: Oh...what about it? Your face cleared up?
Me: Yes ma'am. But I wanted to know how long I should use it? Can it hurt if I keep using it?
Elder: (Heavy, heavy *sigh*) Whatchu thank?
Me: Um...I don't know. That's why I asked.
Elder: You use anything as long as it's working. If it ain't working anymore...stop using it.
Me: So it won't hurt to use it when I'm not having problems?
Elder: (Heavy, heavy *sigh*) Probably no more than it would hurt putting deodorant on twice.
Me: (confused but damn sure not saying it) Okay. So I'll just keep using it then.
Elder: If you say so.
Me: Okay.
Elder: You know I got two Christmas cards from you.
Me: Yes ma'am. Some people got two, some people got one, some people got none.
Elder: Unh huh...well I'm sure there is a story behind that. Call me next week.
Me: Yes ma...
*CLICK*
Question...Have any of you been using her remedy too? Did it work for you? Are you still using it? Yall think we can keep using it? LOL!
