Before I left yesterday, Prince Ziggy and I went to Whole Foods to pack a picnic and then headed to the park.  He had SUCH a good time man.  I.LOVE.THAT.KID!  My nephews are the reason I will be back in Louisiana in EXACTLY three months.  *sigh*  I love my life man and I love my boys more than anything.

Prince Myles received an award at his piano recital. He was sooooooooooo good and his bow bout killed his T-Monnie! LOL!

He didn't know I was coming so when he saw me he was so excited.  T-Mooooooooooonnnnnnnniiiiiieeeeeeeeeee!  That's my Golden Boy!

I was going to change into something FAB but my sister convinced me that we were good.  Yall see Money Bags Myles?  LOL!

My brother wanted Piccadilly so I took he and Prince Corbin and Prince Corbin there.  For the life of me I just couldn't find anything I could eat there that I knew I'd pay for later.  See how chunky Prince Corbin is getting????? 

When Prince Ziggy saw his T-Monnie he just climbed up on top of me and lay there with his eyes closed.  Good thing cuz I was inhaling him in just as he was inhaling in his T-Monnie.

He still does  his CHEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZEEEEE face!  LOL!

Prince Corbin looks like like our Uncle Oscar.  We made that determination yesterday.  He never cries and just coooo-cooooos all day.  T-Monnie wanted to EAT HIM UP he's so yummy!

HEY YALL!

What's that you say?

It's been a week since Prince Ziggy went home and I've finally caught up on the sleep I was missing for three months.  I woke this morning and it was nice and cool in our bedroom.  The smell of my husband's aftershave was in the air as he'd kissed my bye when he left for the office.  I lay there and listened to...nothing.  I rolled over and stretched. 

I smiled.

I said my prayers and thanked God for all the good and asked Him for continued strength to keep moving and living a good life.

My feet hit the floor and into my slippers.  I started a bubble bath and stepped in.  Still...no noise. 

After my bath I put on my lounging pj's that were on the bench at the foot of the bed and my long, luxurious robe I'd stopped wearing while Prince Ziggy was here.

As I walked downstairs I recognized that deep intake of feeling. 

I was happy.

But I still miss my Prince.  My beautiful, sweet, absolutely adorable nephew.

Prince Ziggy is home tearing up his parent's home and doing what he does best...get into EVERY.THING!  LOL!  Some of you have expressed on Facebook that you are sad to see him go.  So are we but baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbyyy!  DID I SLEEP!  WHEW!

The Lord Himself can tell you that I love my nephews more than anything and I will see them soon I'm sure.  I plan on visiting them this summer and taking oodles and oodles of pictures then to tide yall over.  ROFL!

Prince Ziggy said to tell all his Tribe Aunts and Uncles that he's going to miss yall and that if you're in Louisiana you should contact him so he may take you to lunch.  ROFL!  You know my boy is advanced so he'll probably be driving come May!

Thanks to all of you for your support during his visit.  It meant a lot to us to know that if we had a question we had a whole expert village to pull from.

Prince Ziggy had his first fortune cookie today.  His fortune said:  Now is a good time to make new friends.  I hollared!

We hung out today in the mall.  I love taking him to the mall and just letting him walk.  It's wide open and during the weekdays not a lot of people are in there so he can take his time doing his thing.  He's very particular and only stops to look in the windows of certain stores.  The kid is funny.

The kid got a haircut today.  *sigh*  The guy we like wasn't there so we used someone else.  Hence Prince Ziggy now looks like a damn skinhead.  *sigh* TALK.ABOUT.PISSED!

So Prince Ziggy has had a rough day. Poor baby has had a runny nose and couldn't get any rest.  He only took a 15 minute nap today cuz he just couldn't breathe.  Well...when Uncle Robby came home I did the unthinkable.  At least...to Prince Ziggy I'm sure.

I put saline drops in his nose and then used a nostril aspirator to suck out the gunk the drops loosened up.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby...HE.WAS.PISSED!  Robby held him down and I got to work.  To say he is so little...HE IS STRONG!  HE YELLED BLOODY DAMN MURDER AND LOOKED LIKE HE WANTED TO ESCAPE AND RUN THE HECK AWAY!  Lawd...I felt sooo terrible!  Uncle Robby was like...sheesh!  How do people do this to them!

Whew!  I feel like someone has beat me with a meat mallet.

then I just walked off with him crying and got his coat

me: the older lady kept apologizing and i didn't say anything till i'd calmed down

me: and then i was like...he's fine so it's okay
Robby: did you wait until the parent of the other kid came around
me: then i took him with me to get my things and waited on the parent to pick up the other kid
so i asked the kid when he came out with his mother if he'd told her what happened
the mother freaked and was like what??????

me: so i said...i'm sure he can tell you
so he told her that PZ had a truck that he wanted to play with
all innocent and shit

me: so i said...and how did you get the truck?
kid: he gave it to me
me: I'm not sure if that's the way it happened since I was watching

the mom was freaking out

Prolly why I don't have a kid huh?

When I was a kid people used to always try to test me because I was little.  The thing they never gave enough credit to was that even though I was little...I was MEAN AS HELL.

I don't want Prince Ziggy to be mean but he's going to have troubles because he's very little.  When he stands next to kids his age they are huge in comparison.  I'm not trying to teach him anything bad, of course, but I'm thinking his T-Monnie should NOT be the person who needs to explain to him about not fighting because I'm of the school that if someone hits you...you hit THEIR AZZ BACK!  Now...If HE hit someone first...oh...it's going down with T-Monnie...but I'm not about to be mad and fuss at him for knocking someone on their azz who has hit him.

I ain't gonna be good at this.  I already know.  Hell...I'm sitting in the comfort of my home listening to some mellow azz Asa and yet I'm still rocking back and forth cuz I'm MAD.AS.HELL.  What if I wasn't peeking in at that moment?  And hell...there will be PLENTY of moments when I'm not.

I ain't cut out for this ish man.  I just KNOW it.  I JUST KNOW IT1

My T-Monnie needs help.

She peeked in on me at the gym today just as this 5 year old big kid snatched a truck out of my hand and pushed me down. The lady that was watching us jumped up to grab me but my T-Monnie had hopped the gate by then with a look on her face that had the woman trembling. My T-Monnie didn't say a word and calmly turned around and took me to the coat area to get my coat and we left. The poor lady, who is really my friend kept jabbering while I was getting dressed and finally my T-Monnie smiled and said it was okay because I seemed to be just fine.

Since I know my T-Monnie's smile usually goes all the way up to her eyes, I KNEW it certainly was NOT okay and wondered why we continued to sit outside in the lobby in front of the elevators.

Turns out my T-Monnie was waiting for the bad kid's mommy to come get him and they talked about a few things while I had some juice from my sippy cup. The bad kid's mommy made him come over and talked about sharing and being mean to little kids. I think the bad kid's mommy was a bit nervous about the quiet and calm yet matter-of-fact way my T-Monnie spoke to her.

For some odd reason I think my T-Monnie is still mad even though she is giving me her real smiles again. I'm worried that she is gonna end up fighting a bad kid's mommy one day if bad kid's keep messing with me just because I'm so little so I ask that my Tribe Aunts and Uncles share with my T-Monnie how she best handle situations like this so no one gets...um...erra...shook, tripped down or punched in the throat Krav Maga style.

Prince Ziggy's Bibs

Prince Ziggy is the world's juiciest baby.  I change his bib no less than 5 times a day FROM JUST DROOL.  Not from eating.  FROM DROOLING.  The choices are...change his bib 5 times a day or change his shirt 5 times a day.  The choice is simple from where I'm standing.  And nerp...I'm not letting the fronts of his nice coats get soaked with drool either. 

He will be JUST fine until he stops drooling.  Hell...I JUST changed another drool soaked bib and it's only 1:45.  Yup...that's been 3 bibs today.

The only time he will be bib-free is when he is sleeping because I don't want him to strangle in his sleep.

If yall don't like his bibs...send a crap load of BRAND NEW, NON-CHEAP CLOTHES without cutesy ish on them along with a servant to change him so he doesn't have cold, wet drool next to his lil skin all the time.

I have spoken.

Advice

Please tell me how yall get over kids falling down constantly.  I'm about to have a nervous breakdown!  He falls and it sounds soooooooo hard on these floors!  I'm scared the kid is gonna have brain damage.  Sheesh!  At this rate Imma just stop letting him walk around.  Yup...Imma carry him everywhere.  His feet will NOT touch the ground!

Prince Ziggy and I left today to run some errands and to get his hair cut by someone new since I haven't been too happy yet with either of his haircuts.

We picked up E from aftercare since we didn't get to see him last week.  E was feeling pretty proud of himself because he'd received grades of A and B+ on tests he'd taken earlier this week.  Unfortunately...you can't tell in this picture.  ROFL:

At the salon Prince Ziggy was going 180 miles an hour.  He was just laughing and talking and smiling at all the good looking women.  He even frowned at one woman who walked in with her head a HOT.MESS.  We're going to have to work on him keeping his face fixed.  LOL!

He soon got bored and wondered why in the h.e.double hockey sticks we were still there just sitting so I made use of a salon chair to spin him around so that he would crack the heck up laughing!  LOL!

As always...folks marvel at how cool the kid is when getting his haircut.  I don't.  He's my nephew after all and we're vain as a family. 

He just happily sent out a few emails and called a few people on his T-Monnie's BB.  Sangin Diva if you're reading this...the missed call was from Prince Ziggy.  I didn't need anything.  LOL!

We stopped at Toys R Us because Uncle Robby decided the kid needed a basketball goal.  Uncle Robby has long since given up his dream of being the next Michael Jordan and I'm wondering if he's trying to live life vicariously through his nephew.  Hmmmmmmmm.  Of COURSE Prince Ziggy fell asleep on the way home and when I woke him getting out of the truck, he was MAD.ABOUT.IT!

Once he got bathed and ate dinner he got to play BASKETBALL!  Uncle Robby only cussed twice while putting his goal together.  He's getting soooooooooo better!  GO UNCLE ROBBY!

Prince Ziggy really looks up to E so when E showed him how to shoot the ball...HE DID IT!  WE ALL JUMPED UP AND CHEERED FOR HIM!  YAAAAAAYYYYYYYY PRINCE ZIGGY!  He seemed extremely unaffected by it all and looked at us like we were all crazy.  I'm serious.  Like...a slow look from person to person with just the oddest look on his face.  Then...he went over and laid under his best pal...Jaru.

Today was a good day.

The beautiful, FABULOUS, wonderful spirit that is Isha visited us today all the way from Los Angeles.  Well...she was here for the Inauguration but I'm claiming that she was here to see us.  I asked her to bring me a slice of the sweet potato cheesecake she made.  Um...she brought me a whole dang cheesecake.  I'm having half a slice and sending the rest to Robby's office tomorrow.

I'd gotten wind of some SERIOUS savings over at L'Occitane and Crabtree and Evelyn and I drug her along with us poor dear.  She was a trooper though and hung like a champ cuz yall know Monnie be SHOPPING!  We went to Nordstrom and got some free cosmetics too as part of the law suit thingy.  I gave mine to Isha cuz the only skin care I use is RX for Brown Skin so I'm good. 

It's hard being in the mall with Prince Ziggy.  Why?  Cuz everyone stops to say how cute he is and he flirts and grins.  LOL!

The kid wants to do everything himself.  Even push his own stroller.  Dude...you're too slow and you drive in circles.  NOT a good look.  LOL!

A kid after my heart...he LOVES Nordies so he RUNS to keep up.  I walk in front of him backwards saying..."Bye, bye!  I'll see you later!"  He laughs and laughs and laughs!

His first trip to California Pizza Kitchen was a success!  Isha put some croutons in a child's cup so he shook that sucker up till the croutons were dust! 

I'm such a wuss man.  I look at the kid and I just melt.  I can't help it.  He's just so dang cute it's RIDICULOUS and he has the BEST personality!  Our family is sooooooo blessed to have him!

Dude...did you know they thread your eyebrows in front of the build-a-bear store now?  CA-RA-ZY!

Dude...they ALSO do teeth whitening in the mall too.  Would I do it?  HELL.NO.PERIOD.

Prince Ziggy is getting bigger every day.  He's at that stage where his 12 month clothes are too exact and his 18 month old clothes are too big so he looks like a Smurf when he's dressed and walking around.  LOL!

Please know that the kid has BEAUCOUP toys!  And yet...he goes STRAIGHT for the doggie's toys EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!

I'm so busy these days that even the camera can't catch me!

I do take the time, however, to read the newspaper with my Uncle Robby because I know it's important to keep up with current events.

T-Monnie has had to figure out how to incorporate me into her exercises because I won't leave her be.

Lucy is my protector.

I highly recommend this book.

Stroller for Tall People Shopping

So...we left PZ's real stroller in Louisiana and I bought a lightweight umbrella stroller for him here.  I only use it when we're shopping.

Yesterday I realized the umbrella stroller is too short and makes my back hurt so now I'm on a mission to find a stroller with adjustable handles so I'm not all slumped over like a humpback when I'm using it.  I like the way the umbrella stroller folds and how light it is.  Since the kid is 13 months old it's not like I'm packing a lot of stuff so I don't need a STROLLER stroller ya know?

If any of you know of a good lightweight or umbrella stroller for tall people (adjustable handles)...let me know.  I'm going shopping for one Monday.  I need to be ergonomically correct.  :)  This will help out my brother too cuz heck...he's taller than I am so I KNOW his back be killing him! 

I saw the one by the tall parents but it seemed a bit lacking to me.  If it comes down to it being the only thing available I'll get it...but I'd rather something a  bit more pleasing to the eye.  Hell...yall know I'm vain.  :)

Prince Ziggy LOVES paper.  Paper bags, newspaper, magazines, paper towels, toilet paper.  Yup...he loves it!

He also thinks he's much stronger than he is.  ROFL!

Prince Ziggy has a bib that that says, "I'm the Boss."

That bib is accurate.

LOL!

The Nephew has a runny nose.  No fever or anything but just a runny nose and more frequent sneezing.  Cleaning his nose is no fun.  Anyone can tell me how to teach a kid to blow?   

We've learned that we should ALWAYS keep a stack of bibs in whatever room we're going to be in.  The kid is super juicy.

He doesn't eat meat.  Like...I have to REALLY disguise meat for him to eat it.  Friday night I met some friends out for sushi and took him with me.  There was this kiddie chicken strip dish on the menu.  The chicken was in these really little strips and they were battered and fried and he could hold them in his hand and eat them.  To my surprise he ate them up and I quickly wrapped them up to take the rest home and I think I'm going to figure out how to make them. I'm thinking I can make them steamed without a batter to get that same soft texture of the meat so I can trick him into eating it. 

Any tips on getting him to eat more meat would be GREATLY appreciated!

I've learned how to make organic baby food.  How?  Just puree organic food.  VIOLA!   LOL!

If he's sitting quiet and playing with  his toys do NOT let him catch you looking at him! 

The biggest gift of having Prince Ziggy with us right now is watching how The Robinator interacts with him.  He's super gentle and observant.  He's rough and tumble in the way Prince Ziggy loves to roughed up and tumbled up.  He laughs when Prince Ziggy giggles and squeals with delight and he's really awesome making airplane noises when he feeds him.

The biggest gift of having Prince Ziggy with us right now is that I see how WONDERFUL a father my husband will be.  Makes my heart smile in a bittersweet kinda way.  It also shows me that I will make a pretty good mommy because my nephew thinks I'm the bee's knees in the Auntie department and he's no chump.  LOL!

So yeah...moms...help ya girl out.  Yall know I don't know nuttin bout birfin no babies!  LOL!
