I met the most fascinating man yesterday in the simplest way possible.  See...I have a neighbor who is really into her landscaping and I was checking out her new perennials.  I asked her where she purchased them and she told me that someone told her about this super cute little nursery that a man owns behind his house.  I was looking for some different shade perennials so I figured I'd give it a try.

It was only about 12 miles away from my home and it was a stunningly beautiful and yet cool day so a drive was just the thing.  I put the country ribs I had marinating the fridge in the oven on 225 degrees and set the oven timer for 3 hours leaving The Robinator with instructions to simply take them out when the timer went off.

I listened to music as Kadijah (the GPS lady) directed me to the address and oohed and aaahed over the simple, country style homes with porches and big, fenced in yards that I see in my future.

I found the house and followed the gravel around to the back as the signage directed me to do and I was presented with this:

Our neighbors have the most fabulous collection of bird feeders.  Sitting outside this evening, I decided to grab my camera and grab a few pictures.

Recently I was privvy to the best view of the Empire State Building I've ever seen and...of course...I had to snap pics.  LOL!

I got to go absorb the set of "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete" in New York.  It was pretty cool watching George Tillman do this thing.  I didn't take pictures on someone else's set, of course, but I did grab a few cool shots of New York which make me smile.

This one was taken in the elevator of the hotel I stayed in.  I love how they incorporated whimsical flowers throughout the hotel's common areas.  Fun!

Hello,
Heard about your dealings making movies. You should hit me up when you get a min so we can chat.  I got some good ideas.  Get at me.

 

Let's talk about this. 

There aren't any mispellings in this, PER SE, so it makes me go...hmmmmmmmm...

You know...cuz the person who sent it OBVIOUSLY has some sort of sense about them based on sentence structure and whatnot.

BUT...I'm curious as to what you think about the "hit me up" and "get at me" as a cold email contact.  Is this the norm do you think?  Do folks believe that business emails in the entertainment world resemble this?  I ask that because I get so many of them and it makes me wonder...AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT DOESN'T DO THIS?  Am I too "stuffy" when it comes to my email communication when it relates to work?

Help me.

Beautiful Day for a Hike!

It was so gorgeous yesterday that we had to GET.OUT.OF.THE.HOUSE!  I mean yeah...we'd been all cooped up worrying about the possibility of no electricity that we decided to make a serious break for it and spend the day outside!

Jaru and Lucy were thrilled initially but after a while...THE DEBIL DOG was like...I ain't in the mood for all this hell and started walking all slow cuz she knows how to punk Becca.

Becca:  Poor Lucy is slowing down!

SIP:  If you wave a treat in front of her she'll break out into a sprint.  TRUST.

It was just so beautiful out.  Like the winds and rain gave the woods a good cleaning!

I remember my father teaching me how to count the rings to tell how old a tree is.  Those kinda memories make me smile.

I wonder who has the penthouse?  LOL!

On the way back we decided we deserved crabs!  WHOOOOOHOOOOO!  Go us!

When was the last time you just HAD to go out and get outside?  I was talking to Dr. Punkin this morning and she said she wishes she had people around who'd go for a hike or a good walk with her.  She said her friends call her all the time to go get something to eat but nobody EVER calls and asks if  she wants to go for a hike.

She ain't slick.

She, the Weezy's and the Cojoe's are trying to get us to move to Houston.

Um...yeah...no.

I love working on my deck early in the morning.  It's so quiet and cool.  I wrap up in a blankie and write.  What's YOUR version of perfect peace?
