Recently I thought I'd roll out and purchase a Wii so I could get the Wii Fit. Hell...why not? It seems cool as hell and I like interactive things. I grabbed my bag and rolled out cuz in my mind...all you need is money to buy what you want.
And I had money.
So I roll out and hit store one. The dude blinked at me as if I was a martian.
Dude: You want a Wii and the Wii Fit huh? So do I. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I left.
Second store.
Dude: Um...you gotta get here when the shipment comes in.
Me: Okay...when does the shipment come in?
Dude: We don't know.
Me: *BLINK* *BLINK* *BLINK*
Third store.
Chick: Ma'am...EVERYBODY wants one and we don't know when they come in but you gotta be here when the shipment comes in cuz they get sold out in minutes.
Hmmmmmm.......
Now...this does not compute to me. If you have an item as costly as the Wii plus the added cost of the Wii Fit...WOULDN'T YOU THINK THAT THE STORES WOULD BE WELL STOCKED IN ORDER TO KEEP UP WITH DEMAND?????

I abandoned my mission post haste mad as McCain and went home.
Pissed.
The more I thought about it...the madder I got. I mean hey...this was up there with the iPhone only being available on AT&T's network WHEN I DON'T GET DOWN WITH AT&T LIKE THAT!
I envisioned myself inviting the Usual Suspects over for some serious grown folks fun on YouTube...but...NERP. That ish ain't happening. And yup...I started simmering.
Then...THEN...a beacon of light. At the BlogHer conference Nintendo had a Wii Fit station set up so we could try it. I saw this as a sign and discussed my unhappiness at not being able to purchase one with one of the young ladies from GolinHarris, the public relations company representing the Wii Fit. The conversation was interesting to say the least with her trying to convince me that Nintendo is not trying to mind screw normal, regular consumers like myself...but couldn't really answer all of my questions so I'm still at the thought that NINTENDO IS TRYING TO MIND SCREW NORMAL, REGULAR CONSUMERS!
I mean...this ish is CA-RA-ZY! With gas prices the way they are they seriously want folks to keep driving around going back and forth trying to get this damn product????????? I mean REALLY! How arrogant is that?????
I'm actually very...VERY surprised at this. I mean hey...WE'VE BEEN GOOD TO NINTENDO HELL!
