This guys GETS IT! He's been working towards personal goals of writing in the political arena and doing what it takes to work it out. I LOVE watching people writing it down and making it happen! GET YOU SOME OF THIS!!!!!
The Republican party has hemmed and hawed about there not being enough money to do anything that would benefit middle class America but baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby....they sure put together enough money for Romney's campaign funds huh?
That right there should be simple enough to understand that the only thing those rich people want...is to get someone back in there who will protect their money making interests. They don't give a damn about us...just their money.
And to all the fools who feel a kinship with the Republican party like it makes them rich too? C'mon now...you know them magical beans didn't really work right? Right. Cuz if they did, I'd swallow some right now and wish Romney's $100 million hidden in the tax haven known as the Caymen Islands would magically appear in MY accounts.
'Cept I'd pay taxes on them. You know...cuz I'm a REAL American and recognize my country needs me to pay my taxes. Oh...and cuz it's the law.
Romney riding on these roads for free. Using public safety for free. Having all our liberties for free...while we pay out the damn small hole so our country can afford to even have them. Ya wonder why cuts at schools, on police forces, hospitals, etc. happen? Cuz the 1% didn't pay their dues on all that tax haven money and we couldn't pay it all using the taxes you and I pay cuz it ain't enough. Simple, basic math.
“Rebellion will not stop until the corporate state is extinguished.”
So...there is a lot of confusion out there about the OWS movement. It started with a simple call to folks to show up on Wall Street on September 17, 2011 with tents and just pretty much move in on Wall Street. Why? Because this movement has decided enough is enough as it relates to corporations being allowed to screw us and get rich off doing so and then...nothing happens to them.
Like the mortgage crisis which continues to screw us and, dare I say, IN MY OPINION, is the reason the economy is so fugged up right now and won't be right for probably a decade or so.
So corporations, in OWS's opinion, have pretty much been able to get away with straight up raping us and then we're azzed out and the division of wealth gets even BIGGER.
Haves versus Have Nots.
The people WITH the power versus the people who just want to be able to pay their mortgage and other living expenses, and live a normal, happy life.
At least that's my take on it.
What say you?
What do you think about the movement so far?
Are you for or against it?
Do you think it's necessary? Do you think they'll get anything done? Do you think this is the only way to get our government to really listen to our problems and take serious steps to fix them?
Make a boatload of money. Pay your taxes. Lots of taxes. Hire people. Train people. Pay people. Spend money on rent, equipment, services. Pay more taxes.
When you make a shitload of money. Do something positive with it. If you are smart enough to make it, you will be smart enough to know where to put it to work.
I don’t care what anyone says. Being rich is a good thing. Not just in the obvious sense of benefiting you and your family, but in the broader sense. Profits are not a zero sum game. The more you make the more of a financial impact you can have.
I’m not against government involvement in times of need. I am for recognizing that big public companies will continue to cut jobs in an effort to prop up stock prices, which in turn stimulates the need for more government involvement. Every cut job by the big companies extracts a cost on the American people in one way or another.
Entrepreneurs are needed to create and grow companies to absorb those people in new jobs. If entrepreneurs don’t create those jobs, the government ends up having to spend more money to help them one way or another.
So be Patriotic. Go out there and get rich. Get so obnoxiously rich that when that tax bill comes , your first thought will be to choke on how big a check you have to write. Your 2nd thought will be “what a great problem to have”, and your 3rd should be a recognition that in paying your taxes you are helping to support millions of Americans that are not as fortunate as you.
In these times of “The Great Recession” we shouldn’t be trying to shift the benefits of wealth behind some curtain. We should be celebrating and encouraging people to make as much money as they can. Profits equal tax money. While some people might find it distasteful to pay taxes. I don’t. I find it Patriotic.
I’m not saying that the government’s use of tax money is the most efficient use of our hard-earned capital. It obviously is not. In a perfect world, there would be a better option. We don’t live in a perfect world. We don’t live in a perfect time. We live in a time where the government plays a big role in an effort to help lead us out this Great Recession. That’s reality.
So I will repeat my point. Get out there and make a boatload of money. Enjoy the shit out your money. Pay your taxes.
Yesterday we attended the Ravens' football game. We were very excited and happy. You know...looking forward to the game.
Earlier last week...we became aware of a credible threat to mark the anniversary of 9/11.
Yesterday was 9/11.
And here is why it was such a big deal to us...
Because this administration hasn't slammed us with the words "credible threat" whenever they need a big political pull. Seriously. They haven't played that game. They haven't cried wolf and tried to keep us all messed up using fear mongering.
So we took that seriously and we were in hightened security mode while there because that's what we were SUPPOSED to do.
See...they get threats every.single.day. They could very well put that out there every.single.day. But they don't. They do their jobs to ensure the threats are contained and handled. THEY DO THEIR JOBS.
So yeah...when they put it out there...knowing they don't use it to make folks tow some line...I listen.
And so should you.
And we will ALL be safer because they use this authority WISELY.
I totally agree with this decision. It's a far bigger issue than appeasing fools who think they deserve to know Top Secret information. Well...you don't. Remember when your parents told you to stay outta grown folks' conversation cuz it ain't your business? Same concept. Everything ain't meant for you to know. Get over it and go do something with yourself.
"There was an article about an 11 year old girl who was gangraped in Texas by 18 young men because she was dressed like a 21-year-old prostitute," she said. "And her parents let her attend school like that. And I think it’s incumbent upon us to create some areas where students can be safe in school and show up in proper attire so what happened in Texas doesn’t happen to our students." - Rep. Kathleen Passidomo (R-Naples)
"Rogers' bill doesn't actually use the words "sagging pants." But it requires school districts adopt a dress code that prohibits students from "wearing clothing that exposes underwear or body parts in an indecent or vulgar manner." Penalties include verbal warning and a call to parents for the first offense; ineligibility for extracurricular activities for up to five days on the second offense and in-school suspension on the third offense."
