Had this debate this weekend. Men only REALLY have two status symbols. Their wife and their car.
Hmmmmmmmmm....I was thinking watches, shoes, house, etc. and the argument was that nope...a man doesn't invite everyone over to their house so no...and other men don't notice a man's watch or shoes but they will notice his wife and will notice his car.
I asked Robby this...
Robby: Well...you see what I drive (Dodge Ram) and you see my wife...I'm not too high on the status pole huh?
Me: *sigh*
Robby: You know I'm just kidding...you're hot.
Me: *sigh*
So it's like...a successful man doesn't have a problem with his wife spending the money to look a certain way because that's how people know HE'S successful...by looking at his wife. Sure...he may be kicking it in three year old khakis...but his wife is the height of all things FABU...so you KNOW!
Okay...thoughts? Whatchall think of this?
P.S. Was just having this convo with Rach and she said that the watch and shoes and house, etc...would help a SINGLE man GET the hot wife so...maybe there are different status symbols for single vs. married guys. GOOD POINT!
