UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 26, 2012: http://creoleindc.typepad.com/rantings_of_a_creole_prin/2012/11/update-on-the-brian-wedgeworth-scenario-saga.html
Yall know how I love some WHAT IF scenarios. See...I hear about these things and I wonder what someone else would do if they were in the shoes of who it supposedly happened to. It's always cool to see the different responses of folks and see how they would handle said situation IF IT REALLY HAPPENED.
This particular what if scenario is one such that if you choose to copy and paste it onto your blog, post the link on your Facebook and Tweet it on Twitter so that others may chime in as well as to what they would do if something like this ever happened to them...that would be cool as a white box fan.
Cuz you know...if stuff like this is true...then the more folks who know about it...the better.
Right?
Right.
Say for instance you met this dude. Dude seemed to be pretty perfect. He says he is a Chemist with CDC Atlanta, making 100-150K a year and that he moved here from Birmingham, AL.
Good old country boy indeed.
Dude says he's divorced with a kid and has a sob story regarding his daughter being molested.
He says he is a good God fearing man and he's looking for a Christian woman who makes her own money so they may be equally yoked. He always emphasizes how he was raised to take care of his woman and he starts taking care of you in ways you only dreamed of...pretty much IMMEDIATELY.
Say for instance this dude starts asking you questions about your finances cuz he wants to make sure that he's not getting involved with someone whose money ain't right cuz he's all about having a good life and buying a home with his future wife, etc.
All the while...dude is romancing you like the stone. Cuz that's what these fantasy men do. You know...the ones who are really SCAMMERS.
So...dude tells you that he wants to pay your bills. You know...cuz that's how he was raised...to take care of his woman financially and he gives you a check. A large enough check to cover your main bills. Mortgage, etc. You deposit the check into your account.
Or he does for you.
Cuz you gave him a deposit slip.
From your account.
Aiight...moving on...
Now...keep in mind we are strictly hypothetical here as we always are when giving our opinions on a scenario that could...or could NOT have happened in real life. I mean hell...we don't know for sure what went down...we just heard a story and are wondering about it.
The next day he loses his wallet or something else happens so that he has to ask you to give him some money to hold him over till his new cards come in. The amount of money he asks for is less than the amount of money he's "given" you via the check deposited in your account so you may or may not feel weird giving it to him because...AGAIN...he gave you a big azz check.
You know...cuz he believes in taking care of his woman...THE RIGHT WAY.
Good God fearing church boy that he is.
And all this has happened really quickly. Cuz if a dude WAS doing this to women...he'd have to do it really, really quick so he can get to some SERIOUS radio silence that he usually does after his VICTIMS have given him the ends he wanted.
About a week later...the check bounced cuz it was drawn on a CLOSED ACCOUNT.
And now...according to how much money you have in your accounts...your ish is all jacked up.
In the midst of calling and calling and calling him on his phone number that MIGHT be area code 205 and ends in 2438 you start thinking that maybe you need to hit up Mr. Google and see who this dude REALLY is cuz suddenly...shit ain't adding up. I mean...if he works for CDC Atlanta...then he'd be on the website right? The phone numbers are public information so you should be able to call and ask for him right?
Right.
What if...when you finally decided to Google him you found the two following sites:
Don't Date Him Girl Brian Wedgeworth
How would you feel? What would YOU do? Would you be embarrassed and not say anything to anyone about it? Would you be so flipping FURIOUS that you would spread the ish FAR.AND.WIDE? Would you pass this POSSIBLE scenario on to other women to make sure that should they find themselves in a situation like this...that they know to STOP, DROP AND ROLL the hell on with the swiftness?
If a situation like this REALLY went down...what advice would YOU have for other women?
Again...feel free to post this HYPOTHETICAL scenario on your blogs because hey...if something like this COULD POSSIBLY BE TRUE...shouldn't others be warned? Isn't it our responsibility to help deter other women from being scammed too?
Would possible scenarios like this one make you more wary and cause you to hit Mr. Google right up from the git go? Or do you not believe in "checking someone out" that you meet? Do situations like this one make invasion of privacy arguments be DAMNED TO HELL AND BEYOND?
You know...IF this kind of stuff actually did happen?
That is all.
SIP: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR................
THIS IS A FEATURED POST. YOU NEED TO SEE IT AND PASS THIS SHIT ON ESPECIALLY TO SINGLE WOMEN IN THE ATLANTA AREA. YOU KNOW...JUST IN CASE STUFF LIKE THIS REALLY HAPPENS.
Oh...and as a note to anyone who MAY stumble across this site who could be a HYPOTHETICAL scammer...you've stumbled upon the wrong site to fug with. TRUST.
