Your mother-in-law lives in the same city as you.
She helps you out a lot by taking care of your children after school, when they are sick and you and your husband are at work, and whenever you have something going on where you need childcare.
She very rarely comes to your home to take care of the children.
All three of your kids are sick and you have been home with them for two days. You have a big presentation so you go to the office. You guys decide that your mother-in-law would come to your house and watch them because you don't want to take all of them out.
She stays with the kids. No problem.
You need her to do the same thing the next day.
She arrives the next day pulling her vacuum cleaner behind her.
