It's no secret I'm unhappy with the way things are going in the land of politiking right now so I'm going to need the President to quell my fears something serious.  I don't feel good about a lot of stuff and I think they have some SERIOUS 'splainin to do to all of us who supported his candidacy built on CHANGE.  I ain't seen ish change.  Just MUCH more of the same reckless spending.  Sure...it's not all on war...but it's spending NONE.THE.LESS.

I'm not happy. 

I ain't no political expert nor am a pundit.  I'm an American with a blog who has good damn sense and understands that ish just ain't right right now and I need them to GET it right.  Yeah it's only been a year.  But the year is 1/4th of the way.  The way they are messing around 2010 elections are gonna be straight landslide Republican and the Republicans haven't given me ANY indication that they want anything other than corporate "governance" and we all know where that got us before. Deregulation anyone?

All this skinning and grinning?  I don't know what it's for.  They need to be much more solemn indeed.  Madame Obama has got it right. She's straight just clapping.  None of those smiles and fakeness.  This is serious business folx.  SERIOUS.BIZNESS.

In our office ladies room, sanitizing wipes were installed some time ago. I tried to figure out why? Ultimately, thinking, "Okay, after you've taken care of business, you can grab one to turn on the water faucet and open the door when you leave. But what kill me dead: When women, after using the ladies room, grabs one of those sanitizing wipes to clean their hands instead of just washing them.... WHO doesn't have time to WASH their hands??? To me, those sanitizing wipes are an absolute LAST resort.

After being in a relationship for almost 8 years, I'm feeling not so happy about it these days... like we're just not that "right" for each other. I kind of want to leave, but my daughter is very attached to my boyfriend. We've been together since she was 5, and now she's 12, so he's been there since she can remember.

Do I stay and try to work the problems out? Or do I leave to save my sanity?

I've feeling very overwhelmed right now with some decisions that I need to make, and I don't trust my own judgment. How to grow out layers = Hair Blah Funk

I'm running out of different things to do with my hair.  I'm growing out the layers and get it shaped up more often so I may have that fullness I enjoy having again.  Layers are cool...but you know they severely handicap your ponytail and I find the older I get...the more I know I NEED a ponytail.

I have it pinned up today to give the illusion of a full bob.  I think it's cool but my stoopit hair is so thin the dang pins keep falling out of it.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Have YOU ever had deep layers?  How long did it take you to grow them out?  How did you wear your hair while growing them out?  Anything different and fun I could possibly try?

I always laugh when I read the label on one of my FAVORITE indulgences because it says:  CAN BE USED DAILY.

I go about my business of using it and then put it back on the shelf for my use NEXT week.  Yup...this stuff is at a price point which makes the kid RATION THE HELL OUTTA IT!  Do I love it?  Yup.  But there is jut no way I'm going to rock it daily and go broke trying to be smooth and smell goody all the time.

What about you?  Do you have a product that you use SPARINGLY because, even though you love it so, it's just impractical for you to use daily cuz of the cost?

Snarky Gay

I was somewhere recently and a gay dude irked the shat outta me.  He was snarky as hell and HIGHLY inappropriate seeing as though he was at WORK providing a SERVICE.  I was about to tap his azz and remind him that all that popping and snapping extra wasn't necessary and I caught myself because I really try and make sure that I'm not being an azz my damn self.  Sure I'm well known for giving as much as I get but that's the key here...don't start none and there won't BE none.

But I notice that a lot of gay men who provide service are just snarky as HELL and Imma be honest when I say sometimes all the extra rubs me the wrong way.

Because I'm growing every day I wondered to myself if I notice the extra snarkiness because they are usually a flaming gay person and already kinda...IN YOUR FACE or did I notice the gay first even as it couldn't be missed.

Nichelle from 55 Secret Street decided to roll through to DC and hang.  As these things often end up...she's spending the night at 13700 after ripping and running with ST and I all day doing pretty much nothing.  ROFL!  It's ridiculously funny how long we've "known" each other and yet have never met.  The second I saw her...it was as we we were old, lovely friends.

Prince Myles LOVES.HIM.SOME.SAINTS!  He was so happy last night!  My throwed off azz sister talking about she's going to throw her a supper so she can go to Miami.  DEAD.AND.DONE!  LOL!

Dear Mr. Officer Sir!

So on Saturday I went to hang out with The Usual Suspects.  I know I've shared with you that my new DROID! has the most spectacular GPS Navigation feature.  She tells you where to go and bloop!...you go and then you get where you're going.  GO ME!  For someone who is used to being lost...it might just open up a whole new world for me.

Now the GPS Navigation thingy has a few flaws.  Tunnels are it's kryptonite.  You get under a tunnel and it tells you...GPS SIGNAL LOST.

Me:  AAAAAAARRRRUUUUUU??????

Now this might be cute and whatnot in an area I'm mildly familiar with but in an area I've never been before it's decidedly NOT cute.  So what do you do?  Well...you drive super slow until you get a signal and then...you continue on with your journey.

On Saturday after dinner I gave Mercy a ride to her car because she'd brought something back from home for me and me LURVE gifts!  After dropping her off I did the 'get location' thing on my phone and drove slow while it figured out what's what.  Turns out I was on a street that was about to run into the interstate and, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out which way to go.  The damn street was a one way so I kept going straight and when I saw the sign for the GW Parkway I felt relieved because hey...I'm familiar.  I got on the parkway and was feeling good that I'd figured it out on my own when I passed by the airport.

Cava Mezza Capitol Hill

Gladys and Becca hosted our January / February birthday celebration at Cava Mezza in the city.  OH.MY.G!  The food was sooooooooooooooooo good.  Seriously...it was good.  I was over there scraping my plates and not EVEN.MUCH worried if anyone saw me either.  Good thing my mother wasn't there cuz I'd have been church pinched fo sho!  LOL!

See that red stuff in the middle?  LAWD.TO.DAY!  Delicious on some pita bread!  See that cupcake?  Becca and G-Baby ordered those special for us from The Cupcake Gallery in ChicaRgo!  That's right playas!  We had IMPORTED DESSERT!  WHAT??????????  Yeah you heard me.  BALLING!  See them olives?  Well...um...erra...nothing.  I didn't try them.  The red stuff was too good.  ROFL!

I don't know what this was or who it was for but we got a bit concerned with how close he was to the fire alarm.  LOL!

 

Say bruh...we don't play with our food.  When I tell you the conversation got real mute real quick when the food rolled out...I am NOT lying! 

We know good eating.  LOL!  I can't wait to take The Robinator to this restaurant.  He will LURVE it!  I know what I'm getting when I go back too.  NOTHING BUT LAMB CHOPS!  DEEEEEEEE.LUSH.OUS!

Musings and a Hey Yall!

Whatchall doing today?  How's the weather out by yall?  Are you going to see family and/or friends today?  Any plans for shopping?  Any BE MORE VAIN plans?

I need to go get my brows done but to be honest...I might not make it.  LOL!  I'm tired as I was old school kicking it last night!  I even shook a few tail feathers when the music got good to me.  By the way...dancing has changed it seems.  I watched a dude grab a girl passing by him and they started dancing in front of us...after one song his crotch was on her butt.  Within 4 songs one of his hands had snaked around to her inner thigh while he balanced his drank with his other hand.  Dude was about 45 with an Omega Psi Phi tattoo on his NECK wearing VERY animated jeans (writing on butt, designs all over etc) and we'd watched him "step" and bark in the restaurant/lounge for about an hour PRIOR to his public indecency display with stranger chick was attempting to pass by him.

Oh...and did you know there are STILL dudes who hang out by the bathrooms so they can try and holla at women on their way in and out of the bathroom?
