This sums up how I feel during the NBA Finals.

Who should get the child?

An abusive, rich husband kills his wife in front of their child.

During his trial it comes out that he's so fugged up because of his seemingly, upstanding parents he says mentally abused him.

That's pretty much his defense.

His parents live in the area.

The wife's parents live down South and don't have much money.

Their daughter was pretty much estranged from them because her husband controlled every thing she did and he didn't like her family because they were poor.

They never saw their Granddaughter.

His parents are contrite and now see how they could have possibly screwed up their kid.

They pledge to do the best they can by their Granddaughter and have already started by getting her the best therapist money can buy.

If you were the Judge...who would you send this child to?

The Grandparents she knows well and who have financially pledged to do anything for her she needs?

OR...

The Grandparents she doesn't know much at all who don't have money but would take her, of course, because she is their Granddaughter?

Scenario from the news...

You're on a flight with your two children.

One is three years old.

He kicks the back of the seat of the woman in front of him.

The woman gets up, grabs your child and shakes him while telling him he is NOT going to be kicking her seat the entire flight and then shoves your three year old back into his seat.

One Monkey Don't Stop No Show

Last night at the movie Les and I were noticing the men that came with their wives to see the movie.  Les jokingly asked me why didn't I bring Robby.

My response?

ROBBY WHO?

LOL!

I asked the rest of the ladies if they thought Robby would come see this movie with me if I asked him to.  Kayla almost caught a crook in her neck laughing and shaking her head.  HELL.NO.

I sent Robby a text:

Me:  Les wants to know why you didn't come to the movie too.

A while later I get a text back from Robby:

Robby:  LAKERS SUNS FOOL!

And I burst out laughing.

There are things I do with my girls and there are things I do with my guy.  Fortunately...I do a lot with all of them and I feel good about my options and always wonder at other women who say their spouse never wants to go anywhere so they never have anything to do.  That's simply so foreign to me.

Do YOU know anyone who never does ANYTHING?  Is that person YOU?  If so...I'm so curious as to why?????

My fiance has extreme views about abortion.  I was very surprised because he's very liberal in thought.  I had an anonymous abortion my freshman year of college and no one knows except my mother.  Is it wrong if I don't tell him?

What's the likelihood that a man would do something for a woman he is wooing SOLELY to get her to get with him quicker?

Is this the general consensus that men only do really nice things for women they want to get with and doing something for her will be a "time saver" so to speak?

I mean...if a man actually buys you something you have the option of turning down the gift if you don't  want him thinking anything is to come of it but if he just does nice stuff...is that different?

Hmmmmm...

Is it an equal trade off for a man dating a beautiful woman (who is out of his "league" via looks ONLY) to be expected to pay for everything BECAUSE she's beautiful?

Scenario From My Inbox: *sigh*

A REALLY NICE guy has been casually dating a woman.

They've hung out about 4 or 5 times but only once an official "date."  (They both live in the city and sometimes one calls and the other is somewhere and they show up there to say hi and have a drink.)

The woman has a blow out on her way somewhere really important. 

She doesn't have a spare tire.

She calls AAA. 

They send someone out but warn her it's going to take a minute.

She calls the guy.

He gets to her within 30 minutes, gives her his car and stays and waits for AAA.

He goes to Sears with her car and gets a new tire put on and texts her to let her know what he's doing.

He paid for the tire AND that road protection stuff.  ****He had to pay AAA something too.  (Does that sound right?  I thought you didn't have to pay AAA cuz you pay dues to be a member?????????)

He takes the car to his house and waits.

Late that night she calls and she asks him to meet her to swap cars.

They do.

She's grateful and tells him thank you.

That's been two weeks ago and he hasn't heard from her since.

What say you?  What advice would you give this REALLY.NICE.GUY?
