Today Sherri went off on "The View" about Rachel Uchitel's texts talking about she doesn't want to be alone and is tired of being alone.  

I didin't get all of it but it seems that old girl has "dated" more than one married man.

It made me go hmmmmmmmmm...

Do you think it says something about the way a woman carries herself that married men keep approaching her?

Is it more to do with her acting a certain way when she sees a man she thinks is the "ideal" man and her lack of respect for marriage is the driving force?

The woman who was the butt of the conversation between the two co-workers is promoted to Director of their division.  

She has been given full power to find her replacement.

She decides to look from within and give someone an opportunity to advance and learn something new since she has worked with these people and know what they are capable of.

She posts the position internally and both women AND the man decide to apply along with 10 other co-workers.

After reviewing applicants, 5 are given interviews.

One of the women AND the man are among the 5.

The interview with the woman goes VERY well and the interview soon flows into an amazing conversation between two women who seem to really like each other and would continue to get along well.  This job would mean a $17,000 raise for her.  As of that interview...she is the front runner for the job in the mind of old girl.

The last interview of the day is the man and that interview goes EXTREMELY well too.  The interview is ending and the man takes the time to congratulate her on her promotion because he, unlike others, knows she really deserves it because of her hard work and dedication.

He then leans in and tells her that the two women hate her and talk about her constantly and that he hears all of this from his cubicle.  He warns her she should look out for them and drops a few of the juicier tidbits he's overheard.

She pretends this isn't news to her and lets him know that office politics and gossip is something she never participates in.

When he leaves she asks him to close her door behind him because honestly...she had no idea and she is hurt.  VERY hurt.

What's do YOU think the likelihood is that old girl will be getting the job come Friday?

Is old boy wrong?  Or is he simply doing what he had available for him to do in order to knock down some competition?  Competition who, has shown they are untrustworthy and fake.

Should being a catty gossip disqualify you for a promotion?  Does it say ANYTHING about your work ethic?

When she turns the corner they roll their eyes and continue on with their day.

Unbeknownst to them...this whole thing is being watched by a male co-worker who is filing this away as ammunition.

Convo with a Male Friend: Baby Blackmail?????

A woman has pretty much given up on finding "the one" based on her history of relationships and dating.  

She's smart and well read so she knows the risks of STDs and pregnancy associated with having unprotected sans ropas.

She's also VERY aware of her biological clock ticking, of her cycle and that she knows she wants to be a mother.  She hasn't been very quiet about this either so people in her life know this.

She meets a guy and, during her VERY FIRST fertile phase after meeting him, has unprotected sans ropas with him.  

She gets pregnant and she's happy about it.  VERY.HAPPY!

Is it really wrong that dude feels like she was setting him up from Day 1 because all she wanted was a baby?  Is it really hard to fathom that he begins to hate her for this?    Would dude be a major asshole for subpoenaing her family and friends and suing her for what he considers a form of BLACKMAIL by her setting him up and making it so that he has to give her money once a month to take care of a child he can honestly say he didin't want with her?

So...I asked Mr. Google about "sorry ass baby daddy," a quote from the evil baby mama post because, to be quite honest...this mess is FASCINATING!

I found a thread on Facebook where folks were discussing and this comment stood out to me:

But you tried.  Right up until you found out that his niece was really his DAUGHTER and there was some crazy shit surrounding that included some major family cover-up nonsense and him not paying child support.

He didn't agree with your breaking up with him and calls you, from time-to-time, to try and get you to see the error of your ways and decision regarding breaking up with him.  He believes his situation with his niece/daughter doesn't say anything about his character and that basically...it's none of your business. 

Again...you broke up with him cuz you were of the "iCan't" frame of mind.

Today you open up your email to find an email from him out the blue.  The contents of the email are as follows:

Dear Evil Baby Mamas:

This shit is FUN-TAY!

Evil Baby Mommas,

Feel this: Your getting all types of calls from bill collectors. Your looking on your caller ID, and not answering the phone because you owe money to the bill collectors. Sometimes you even "rob peter to pay paul" to pay one of your bills. Your late on making credit card payments. Money is sufficent but it's just not enough to make all ends meet. It's hard Evil Baby Mommas. I read that one guy owes his baby momma $20000. Now Evil Baby Mommas, how in the world do you expect the guy to come up with $20000, when come on E.B.M, you haven't spent $20000 on the child, as long as the child has been with you, you haven't even worked to get $20000 in your life time. Think about how hard it is for you to pay bills and save money. I bet it's funny knowing that your Childs father is getting his driving license taken because he is going though hard times and can't make the payments, losing his job in the process, leaving him with more headache.(don't you know that is some awful shit when your going through something, lose your job while your in debt), or I bet it's funny knowing that you can "try" to make you Childs father life Hell, while he trys to get a personnal relationship with his child (You know telling your child that his/her Father ain't shit because he lost his job going thru hard times and couldn't come up with $500.00 because he has so many other bills), Evil Baby Mommas don't want the father to have a relationship with their children. Nope, that's not it. Evil Baby Mommas want to make sure that their childs father can't live happy. The number 1 haters. That's why a lot of the Evil Baby Mommas, can't move on with their lives because they are caught up on some Evil acts. A lot of Evil Baby Mommas are broke, because they are lazy and public assistance is easy for a woman, It's true and everyone knows it. A lot of Evil Baby Mommas are single, lonely, depressed, and just plan sad. You know who they blame it on. The Childs father, because he don't have the same $20000 that the Evil Baby Momma don't have. 

Remember this if you don't remember anything, The child grows up, get grown(Turns 18 and hate your hateful ass, start talking down to you telling you that your not shit, wow how the tables have turned) and move on with life, however life comes at the child, it's going to happen.(The Child father isn't in your life anymore so he can't see all the shady shit you do, but oh.. did you forget your child is going to read you one day. and tell you why your not shit, I'm not going to be there, but I can't wait.) :)

You Evil Baby Mommas will still be alone and getting used. Still depressed, Still lonely and sad, because you couldn't make something out of you life because you used your child as a set back. All old, stuck in your ways and lonely is how your going to be. Your so damn cold hearted, that the children don't even want to be around. I've seen it. I can see you now all shacked up with somebody that you don't like just to have company or Drunk, kicking it with your now grown child at the bar looking like a damn fool, because you don't have anything else in life to do. Get drunk and lose teeth. Learn to not be so spiteful and Evil until you lose focus of yourself. Life is moving, you better get yourself together and worry about yourself and your Child. Aiyana Jones: Sometimes We Lose

A 7 year old Princess was killed while police were searching her home for a suspect in a murder investigation in Detroit.  

That's pretty much all we need to know here.

None of the other details of that incident are relevant other than...a baby was killed by a bullet out of a policeman's gun.

We can speculate on a whole host of things that lead to this.  The people who lived in the home.  The neighborhood.  The educational level.  The economics.  All of that will be done ad nauseum by the 24 hour media industry.

But absolutely nothing matters except a baby was killed by a bullet from a policeman's gun.

In this situation...we ALL lose.  Trust, respect, naivety, innocence...

Sometimes we lose.

"Claudine"

Until yesterday...I'd never watched "Claudine."  It wasn't something my parents would have allowed us access to and, well...later in life I just never sought it out to see it.  I remember folks saying how good it was back then and I was looking forward to enjoying a bit of classic Black cinema so I tucked in on the sofa and pulled it up on Netflix instant play.  (I LOVE NETFLIX INSTANT PLAY!!!!!!!!!)

The story is about Claudine.  A 36 year old single mother with 6 kids.  She's been married twice and almost married twice.  She is a maid at some White folks' house.  She's on welfare and lives in the hood in a 4 room apartment.  The welfare woman stops by regularly and asks her neighbors about the goings on in and out of her home.

Miss US

The Miss USA pageant was last night and it's NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MISS AMERICA!

LOL!  That makes me laugh every.single.time I read that somewhere because the Miss America people are seriously making sure yall know that they ain't got NUTTIN to do with it AT.ALL!

The Miss America pageant was always criticized by them strong women people for being sexist, yada, yada, yada.   You know...women being made objects of and all that jazz.

And then...you face the realism that well...that's gonna happen ANYWAY so hey...might as well glitz it up. Right?  

Seems that's what Donald Trump decided on their monkey azzes.

So...we ALLOW the pageant to be seen as some thing you can watch and see overly sexy, extremely beautiful women.  Women who are normally in men's stripper fantasies.  Men see these women and fantasize about them as do women.  'Cept women are fantasizing they can look like them.

And none of that pesky wholesomeness is faked.  They know why they are there and THE DONALD doesn't give a damn if these girls have been bad girls before.

 

And the shit sells BIG.TIME.

Talent?  WHO GIVES A RAT'S PATOOTY?  Let's see how she looks in her fancy dress, swimsuit and yeah...let's let her talk for a few minutes to see if she can speak English.  The PR for Miss USA?  Could be a Victoria Secretions ad.

Did you know Miss America isn't even on the air anymore?  That's a big wow for me.

Miss USA however?  Well...that pageant should be called Miss Us.  Why?

Because the battle between Miss America and Miss USA is the perfect indicator to where we stand now via entertainment as a country and I can't WAIT till the Fox news people start talking about the fact that the new Miss USA is Rima Fakih...AN ARAB AMERICAN!  LOL!  (That is HILARIOUS to me!)

Yeah...I know I was rambling.

Plus Sized Clothes but not MODELS?

I was recently helping a friend find a cute top.  She's plus sized and had been searching for a while for exactly what she wanted.  I found a site that had something PERFECT based on her description but then when I clicked on other things on the site I noticed something strange.  

Even though the Mr. Google search for the site stated it's:

...I didn't see any plus sized models modeling the clothes:  Roaman's 

That made me wonder about how their customers felt about this.  (Make sure you click on the link as I believe they should be "driven" by here to read your comments regarding.)

"Brick Lane" Review

I watched "Brick Lane" on Netflix instant play and was very surprised at how good it was.  I thought it was going to be one thing ya know?  Kinda traditional in story line but I was pleasantly surprised at how this seemingly quiet movie evolved into something beautiful in simplicity.  

That might make no sense to you now...but once you've watched the movie...you'll get it.  I promise. "Brick Lane"

It's not looking good for Facebook...

The more I read about Facebook's LACK of privacy...the more I wonder should folks who aren't public figures use it.

EVERY.SINGLE.ONE of you need to spend time in the PRIVACY section of your Facebook account and adjust accordingly.  I'm finally done and this is how my page looks to people looking for me now:

It should be noted that I spent a considerable amount of time making these privacy changes the LAST time Facebook changed up their settings but the new stuff made all of my information visible again.  ALSO...please note that just because you fixed the settings in ONE section of the privacy stuff doesn't mean it's fixed in ALL sections so you gotta go down EACH SECTION and change everything one-by-one.

I'mma keep reading up on this but right this minute I'm not feeling all that warm and fuzzy with Facebook.  In fact...THIS one almost gave me a HEART.ATTACK!  I visit a lot of different stuff for research and I would be MORTIFIED if some folks start looking at all the sites I visit on my PERSONAL computer and try and come up with a map of who I am.  

MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS FOR YOUR KID'S PAGES TOO!

I woke up this morning with a big, great, huge cheese eatin' grin!  I don't know why...I just did.  I'm headed for a morning of primping and then an adventure of getting from the salon back to my house with my hair pin-curled.  ROFL!  I HATE to do that!  I have a big rain hat just for this purpose and, coupled with my largest sunglasses...I should be just fine!

Tell the truth and shame the devil!  Have YOU ever left the salon with her hair not completely styled because you had something going on later you wanted to have fresh styled hair for?  Remember the Saturday before Easter growing up?  ROFL!

I dealt with over 200 Facebook messages tonight.  I can't go no 'mo because my fingers caught a cramp.  

Please just send me an email ([email protected]) if you're trying to get in touch with me.  I only read those FB messages if they come through when I'm actually ON FB.  When my blog links are posting to FB...that's done automatically with posts and scheduled posts so naw...I ain't on then either.

I can't tell you when I'll finish cleaning out the rest so if I haven't gotten to you...I'm sorry.  I'll try and do 100 or so a day until I'm done.
