Ann Taylor Loft is my goto place for embellished tees. I didn't realize this until recently but I wear a LOT of embellished tees. My favorites are sleeveless because I usually wear them with a cardigan on top and I don't have to worry about fabric being bunched up under my arms because that would seriously drive me nuts and I'd be disrobing in a public bathroom and wearing the cardigan buttoned up.
SIP: Yes...this nut has done this before. Seriously.
Me: Yo SIP...Imma need you to lay off the name calling this close to Halloween.
SIP: Oh...so you're MORE evil near Halloween?
Me: No...but it's easier to disguise bodies.
SIP: Good point. Carry on.
N.E.WAY!
Now I kinda get annoyed with the shaping of a lot of their tops because they are so pretty I should own them especially since the color is so flattering to my skin but they go and do something crazy to the cutest shirt and I get like...UGH!
Take this shirt for instance: Rosette Halter Cami
On the hanger it was cute as HELL! When I tried it on however? it was too long and all that fabric in the front weighed it down so I looked like I was hiding my belly for some reason. HATED.IT!
On me. BUT...for someone who was feeling some kinda way about their waistline it will be GORGEOUS on you.
SIP: Can yall tell she's still mad but trying to be all nice and ish. She is soooooo phony when she doesn't get her way.
Me: *HARD.STARE*
Now this fit looks good on me: Raglan Sleeve Sweater with Tie
Not the pants mind you. I simply canNOT wear their pants. I have a badonkadonk that they don't accommodate. If you see me with nice pants on...they are REALLY nice. I learned a long time ago that it's way worth it TO ME to spend the extra on pants that look good on me. But this sweater? I bought it. Why? Because it's fitted and will look good on my frame with tailored pants I already own and that color is hot on me.
One thing I do love about their website is there Looks We Love Link. It's a really good way to see some cute, well put together outfits that you can do probably with things in your own closet. I mean let's face it. Ann Taylor Loft is chock full of the basics and you know you already have lots of the basics in your closet already.
The prices here are more than reasonable for cute tops and, I've never seen something I've liked made out of that horrid acrylic that makes my skin itchy.
Do YOU shop at Ann Taylor Loft? What's the last thing you purchased there? Can you fit their pants?
