...are showing your kids the joys of cooking and making sure you have recipes to pass down to them. My mommy is gone, as you know, and I always feel her in the kitchen with me during the holidays because I'm doing things exactly as I used to do them with her. Her recipes make me smile and holding something in my hand that she held in hers brings me joy. Looking at her writing in the sidelines of a recipe book is like little taps on my shoulder and I can hear her voice saying it out loud.
Cooking, to me, is one of those things wherein you can show love without saying a word.
