The Robinator is all about baseball. He played in college and after college and grad school it seems he was always on a league team. He LURVES baseball.
Me?
Not so much.
Last night I was trying to think of something special to do for him to thank him for being so awesome and I turned on the television and found the channel on a baseball game and DING, DING, DING...I went online to purchase baseball tickets so he can go see the Nationals play ball!
I'm going to be there right next to him and enjoy watching him enjoy himself.
Sure...I don't like baseball but I love and appreciate him more than anyone and anything else in this world.
I woke up this morning to find him grinning at me with this big cheese eating grin. LOL!
Him: Thank you for getting tickets so we can go to a game!
Me: Ugh! Moooooooove! Leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!!!
And he gave me munchy kisses until I giggled so hard I was gasping.
Like...when you're in a bad space in your head and you KNOW you need to get right so you may continue on...what/what do you turn to in order to see your way through? Yes...I know God and trust me...HE delivers...but HE also gives you other options. Which ones do you use?
How do you handle when you work with someone you have recognized you can't be around because you don't like them nor do you want to be around them? How do you learn to fix your face? Do you ever?
I get the most done when I'm alone. I'm able to focus and pound out whatever it is I need to do. I've noticed that a lot of people can't be alone and it makes me wonder.
Do some people REALLY need to be around others in order to feel they exist? Do you think some people really can't be alone? Why? Does it mean that they are well aware of their shortcomings moreso than others are and would rather have others to distract them about all the crap ish they've done?
What do YOU think it means when a person CAN'T be alone?

Last night I was on a plane pretty late in the middle of an amazing storm. When I say amazing I'm talking thunder, lightening, serious rainfall and a rocking boat kinda motion on the plane. I turned my music up and kept writing. The woman to the left of me turned green.
Seriously...green.
I leaned over and got a mint out of my purse and gave it to her. She accepted it without a word looking terrified. Then she asked me a question that was pretty accurate:
Her: Why does it seem like the plane always speeds up when there is this much turbulance?
Me: Because you're paying attention.
I then pulled out my headphone splitter and got out an extra pair of headphones and hooked her up to my iPad so she could listen to what I was listening to which was my writing playlist. My writing playlist is filled with lots of mellow and soulful sounds and before long...she had loosened her grip on the arms of the seat and she turned less green.
I kept writing.
Every time the plane hit another bad patch...I gave her another mint. She accepted it and kept her eyes closed grooving.
Once we were leveled out and had been for a minute she asked who sang the song, "Fire on the Mountain." I told her Asa and she wrote it down. Then...she thanked me for helping her through that flight and I told her that hey...it was nothing.
And I meant it. Helping folks is easy.
This morning, as I was relaxing in bed, I was watching Gayle and it turns out she was on a plane in that same storm. According to her she was next to a man who pretty much ignored her and ignored her being terrified. I thought about how it really doesn't take much energy to provide a bit of comfort and reassurance to a fellow passenger and really couldn't wrap my brain around sitting next to someone and not attempting to be of help.
Don't do that.
It's easy to be an azz.
But it's easier to be a good person.
Question...have YOU ever been comforted by a perfect stranger? Have you ever been a source of comfort for a perfect stranger? What happened?
Poor baby has been up for over 24 hours. I am SO happy he's here. So, so happy! Mad he didn't figure out how to get Jaru and Lucy smuggled on the plane though.
We have been having straight up 12 - 16 hour days from day 1 and days off, for me, are non-existent. The days are long but I enjoy working with our crew and our cast consists of some amazingly talented people for which we are sooooooooooo grateful.
Seriously...the good far surpasses the bad.
Go us!
My computer decided that at age 13 months...it was tired of the pace and died. CAN YOU BELIEVE???????????????
I'm kinda glad I have missed all the hoopla about that Weiner dude. That crap just sounds ridiculous.
My sister arrives today!!!!!!!!!
Today is going to be a HUGE day! So exciting!
I would like to thank all of you for your emails and words of encouragement. They mean the world to me.
You're out of town working.
The time difference between where you are and where you live is about 6 hours.
You can't get in contact with your S/O.
You fly home early.
Your S/O isn't there.
Looks like they haven't been there for days.
You call family members EXTREMELY worried and you're told that they went on a trip and would be back the day before you were supposed to be back.
Your kids and your dog are with your in-laws.
What do you do?
