I totally got sick. Well...I was already sick...but I got really sick. I'm talking fever-y tired-y sick. I'm sure you can tell from this picture. LOL!
But I didn't let that stop me. Our goal was to watch 5 - 6 movies per day and that's exactly what we did. We went to movie after movie after movie and I loved it! I love the spirit of true independent films and I loved looking up at that big screen and watching films made be people just like us. It was so awe inspiring and motivating. I already had big dreams and big plans. Now? THEY ARE EVEN BIGGER!
Of all the movies I saw, my favorites were:
2012's brat pack film.
Parker Posey is so perfect in this movie.
SERIOUSLY THIS WAS THE BEST.MOVIE.EVER!!!!!!!! I can't even explain it to you as it was simply THAT awesome!
This was the most original movie I've EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER seen! Just...wow.
I could totally see this movie as a weekly television drama. I would soooooo watch it! The lead actress was AMAZING! She had me thinking I could "spit" some verses. ROFL!
I loved this movie so much that I am going to buy the DVD when it's released. It was seriously amazing. I gave it a standing ovation that's how awesome it was! You start off thinking that it is absolutely ridiculous but by the end...you're all up in arms rooting the mission on! LOL! LOOOOOOOOOVEEEE IT!
A story within a story within a story. AWESOME.SAUCE!
This list was in the order in which I saw them. Not by my fave ranking.
There were some nights we couldn't get a decent meal because we had a late movie to watch but none of us complained because that's seriously what we were there for. Movies over food ANYDAY! LOL!
However...I had to drink a lot of water because I was hungry a lot. The foods at the movie concession stands left a lot to be desired for people like myself who don't eat a lot of crap so I had to make do with what I could. I was so excited about the next movie and the next movie and the next movie that I didn't care. LOL!
The hotel we stayed in the first night was awesome. The rest of the time we were in the host hotel. It was the perfect location as it was in close vicinity to most of the theaters so we could get in and out quickly but the hotel itself?
We won't stay there again. BLECH!
We attended a house party and met some fabulous people but for the most part...again...we just enjoyed going to movies and meeting other people who love movies as much as we do. We had some of the best conversations ever just talking to the people in line around us or sitting behind, in front or on side of us.
Sundance was, by far, my most favorite film festival to date.
