A couple of months ago, actress Nia Long graced the cover of Essence magazine with her two sons looking absolutely radiant, the way a successful actress should. The article was about where she is in ife and how happy she is being a mother to her children, a mate to her man, etc. She also spoke about how marriage isn't a priority for her.
There was an uproar. I remember reading the comments thinking to myself...whoa...they went in.
Last night I was directed to another article on the magazine's website. The title caught my eye and I said...hmmmmmmm...pretty much immediately:
The Write or Die Chick: Don't Be a Single Mom Unless You Have to Be
As I was reading the article all I could think was...they are going to rip her a new one for simply telling her truth.
Do YOU get what she's saying here? Do you think she's crapping on single mothers? Would you ever CHOOSE intentionally from before conception to be a single mother?
