You IMMEDIATELY text him to dissuade him by telling him you're just having a drink and then you're leaving immediately after...but too late...he's walking in.

As you're standing there, he looks down at his phone and sees the text message you sent him telling him that you're about to leave.
The hostess then calls your last name for your table.
