"Standing at the Scratch Line"

I told yall about this book, Standing at the Scratch Line: A Novel (Strivers Row), a long time ago.  

With "Django Unchained" coming out and all of the interest in it...I thought I'd see if yall read it because it is STILL one of the most bad-ass-est books I've ever read.  King Tremain wasn't no joke and Django dang sure ain't no King Tremain.  

If you haven't read it yet...you should.  I PROMISE you won't be disappointed.  

Oh...and the author, Guy Johnson?  He's Maya Angelou's son.

BOOM.
