A friend just posted this: Video:How to Make Crockpot BBQ Chicken Wings
Personally I would think that this would make the chicken uber messy. Have you ever tried this?
What do YOU make in the crockpot that you'd recommend? The only things I've ever made in a crockpot that I truly enjoyed were turkey wings and a turkey chili but I know some folks who RAVE over their crockpot dishes.

I have on camo cargo shorts, my favorite walking sandals and an orange halter t-shirt. I feel so cool and comfy it's unreal.
Those of you who suffer from allergies and wear contact lenses...how do you deal?
If you could go back to school for the SOLE reason of educating yourself in a field where you know you wouldn't have a problem making good money...what would you go to school for?
If someone is no longer attracted to their spouse...is it THEIR fault...or the fault of the spouse?
For instance...
Say a couple gained weight together and then...one day the wife decided enough is enough.
She started cooking healthier, working out and generally making better choices. She cooked the same foods for her husband, but he chose to eat outside of the home because he didn't like all that "healthy crap." She started getting up at 4:30am to workout at home because they have children and each have full time jobs.
She feels like if she can do it...then so should he have been able to.
Years later...she's no longer attracted to him.
At all.
Is it her fault?
Or is it his?
What...IN YOUR OPINION...could a couple like this do in order to get back on the good foot with each other. Does she have to lower HER standards or does he have to raise HIS standards for himself?
Would you feel differently if the situation was swapped and HE was the one no longer attracted to her for the same reasons?

Sometimes I find myself sharing bits of my story with people who don't know me just to get a reaction out of them. Just to show them that the shit they thought...can be shattered in an instant with the truth.
You can't hide and you shouldn't want to. Who you are is who you are and...if you can't live solidly within your truth...then hell...you're just hurting yourself to get along and make someone else feel comfortable with YOUR truth.
I went to a school today to speak to the students for career day.
Teachers don't make enough money and their summers should be all expense paid trips to wherever the heck they want to go.

It was released here in the States on HBO...but in Europe it was released theatrically. Some say it was "too gay" for a theatrical release here.

So...Miguel went on a rant yesterday and bared a part of his soul.
It wasn't received well.
I got into a discussion about what he said with some friends and we were wondering if, indeed, what he said had any merit. The general concensus was that it's easy to let go and let live when you have other things that actually MEAN something in life to focus on and which make you happy. So I wondered out loud if this could then be considered more accurate, "People with nothing better to do are the most judgmental people in the world!"
Cuz really...who has time to worry about what someone else is doing on the regular?
What do YOU think? Does Miguel have a point or is this one of those blanket statements which make your teeth itch?

When I'm airdrying my hair with plans to bun it for the week, I really like using this leave-in conditioner. I don't use it when I plan on adding heat to my hair but for no/low-manipulation styling...it's pretty awesome to me. I bought it at Sally's for $8.99 but a friend told me she gets it at Walmart for a little less. (I just noticed you can get it for a tad bit less on Sally's site.)
It doesn't make my hair greasy feeling nor does it weigh it down.

Convo between a mom and her 8 year old son after picking him up from school:
I laughed until tears fell.
A well-dressed child is bullying another child at school who wears "ugly" secondhand clothes.
The bullied child gets to the point where she doesn't want to come to school because of it.
The well-dressed child's stepmother takes her shopping at the thrift store and asks her to pick out the ugliest clothes she could find.
She does not know that her parents plan on her wearing them to school.
She wears them to school for two days and gets teased.
She hates it and learns how it feels to be teased for having not so great clothes.
She and the bullied girl are friends now.
What do YOU think of the way her parents handled this?

Do you receive thank you notes from children you love?
For instance...your niece is awesome and you buy her something just because she's awesome and send it to her. Would you think her mother, your sister, would insist she send a thank you note?
Do you think this should be done, even to relatives, just as teaching life lessons?

A few weeks ago I was in line at the Amish Market getting my normal split breast chicken. The line for the prepared food is a shoulder's length alongside it and it can be a bit confusing at times. Most people just ask which line you're in so they know if they should simply get in line behind you.
It's pretty civil.
