We all know our history. We all benefit from it. 50 years ago today, the greatest movement of our day happened. The March on Washington.
FIFTY years ago.
I have Elders who were there. I have Elders who have been married 50+ years. I have friends who are over 50 years old.
50 years ago wasn't that long ago.
And I find that astonishing.
I read an article last week about a family of 25 Black people waiting to be seated at a restaurant. They waited for 2 hours because a patron complained that such a large number of Blacks together was dangerous.
50 years is not a long time.
