I hate it when a man is uncomfortable with a woman, who is making a valid point in a calm and rational way, and tells her to calm down or take it down. She wasn't yelling. She wasn't throwing things. She was simply speaking her mind and disagreeing with the way they were reporting the "news."
My husband told me to "settle down" once and I lost it.
We stopped using those words.
