The other night I decided I wanted some chocolate chip cookies. I had everything I needed but...the butter wasn't softened and had I waited an hour for it to soften...I wouldn't have made the cookies.
So, I put some water to boil on top of the stove but right before it started to boil, I turned off the stove and added the butter to a stainless steal bowl and smashed it up over the hot water until it was softened. Took about 5 minutes.
And then I made gluten free chocolate chip cookies!
