Our office used have two hanging Elfa desk systems on opposite walls. The Robinator took them down and well...there were a lot of holes left in the wall from the installation. It looked like crap. Getting the house ready for other people to live in looked like it was going to be a chore.
I bought some DryDex Spackling which goes on pink and turns white when it dries and let it fully dry filling in the larger holes well. Then...I used a sanding sponge (3M Sanding Sponge, Fine Grit ) and sanded all the spots down well. After I vacuumed, I prepped the rest of the wall for painting and then painted it. It looks brand new. I can't believe how good it came out and fully expected to have to get our new handyman to do it for me. Patching up those walls and painting the room myself probably saved me $500. GO ME!
I'm VERY proud of myself! Have you ever patched up and painted walls properly?
