I'm finally in my office with my computer plugged up to my external hard drive. I'm moving stuff over and backing up my entire system. I used to do this religiously by simply hooking it up before I go to sleep so I didn't even need to think about it. Being in NY for the summer has made it a challenge but dude...I would never, ever, EVER not make the time to do it.
I have an external hard drive for the house and a rugged one for my backpack so I do double duty. Heck...I do TRIPLE duty as I keep really big files on an online service in case I'm out and about and need to snatch it down right quick. Yessiree Bob! Won't catch my puter slipping!
THAT SAID...
When is the last time you backed up YOUR puter? Do you have a system in place? If not...I suggest you start one ASAP! It could be as simple as buying a stack of re-writable DVD's and setting a time once a week to do it. Pick some random evening when you don't have much going on like...um...Tuesday night. It doesn't take long and trust me when I say you'll be glad you got into the habit of doing it. If you write a lot and take lots of pics...I'd suggest you get a system in place like mine so you don't lose much if you had a crash.
Mmmmmkay?????
